*Beauty Regimen*

I am linking up today with Beth at the stories of A 2 Z for Beauty Regimen, get your face on party. Check out her blog to read other's posts on this!

I will not, I repeat, not be posting a before and after picture. You just don't want to see that people! ;-) But I will post what I am loving these days beauty wise. Since the hubby was deployed for quite some time I let myself go. I didn't have the time to focus on me...between work, that long drive, two babies, laundry, house chores... I was just glad to get over 2 hrs sleep a night and get up brush my hair and teeth and muddle to the next day! I know, Wah, wah, wah! BUT now that he's back I have been very into my beauty regimen. (next I tackle the weight game, but for now, just the face and hair). Okay, so hair first. I am loving my new brush (purchased at ULTA) to use when I dry out my hair...

You pull out the little silver pin out at the end and turn it around and put it back in and wha-la...you have something to EASILY part/section your hair. =) LOVE IT!
Also I have rather OILY hair. I HAVE to wash every day or else! But, I found this stuff...

So what's great about it??? I save time every other day! I just use the salon grafix dry shampoo...and it's made based on YOUR hair color! Genious! Where has this been all my life?!!!
A few months back my mom bought me an instyler. I am loving it because my hair has just enough natural curl to be a mess. I mean, it has to be straightened or else it frizzes, but it isn't enough natural curl to wear it curly. Know what I mean?! Plus it holds NO curl so hot rollers just won't do.

My next product I use holds double purpose. A. It helps detangle that natural curl that is a super pain to brush when it's wet. B. It helps protect from use of the hot instyler. It's Chi Keratin Mist. Obviously I use this when my hair is still wet, so before the styling and only if it's just been washed.

Okay, so make up. I am big on eyes and mainly use lip gloss. I am not big on foundation. I have tried bare minerals, which I definately like better than any drug store mineral foundation that I found. But at the same time it didn't WOW me like the info-mercial said it would. I have to prime my eye lids before applying foundation or the eye makeup will NOT stay on. They are OILY! Weird, right?! Anyway, I prefer using beauty control shadow control cream. But if I'm out I will just use some concealer and it works ok.

I am really liking the maybeline line stylist eyeliner I recently bought. You can draw a thin or thick line with it depending on the look you are going for!

And for the mascara, you will not find one better than maybeline's define a lash lengthening:

For shadow I use lots of different kinds. I like browns and shimmery pinks OR greys and blacks depending on my shirt. Loreal is probably the brand I use most. My cheeks are naturally pink so next I slap on powder and lipgloss and I'm out the door! =) Geesh...what us girls do for beauty!

  1. Hi Robin! I didn't know Maybelline carried an eyeliner that looks to be much like Avon's glimmerstick! Do you think so?.. Have you compared them? Just found out about this event, so I'm having fun from post to post, hearing everybody's favorite products! Nice to meet you tonight! ~tina

  3. Thank you for linking up! So many fun tools that I've never even seen before. I didn't even know what an instyler was before today and I think I need some of that shampoo! I'm a greasy girl too. Greasy eyelids and all.

Enjoy your man while he's home and good luck with the weight game. It's my next battle too :(. Blessings!
