Fix it Friday #85

I'm participating in Fix-it Friday #85 a I heart faces!

Before:

 After:

I used Picasa first to crop in, adjust fill light and color temperature.  Then I used picnik advanced tools to brighten eyes and dodged around the outer part of the eyes.  I also did light airbrushing on the face to lighten the food stains ;-)
I love babies!  What a cutie patootie!

How would you adjust the photo?  What editing software is your favorite?

Fix it Friday

Today I'm participating in Fix-it Friday with I heart Faces!  Go check out all the other fantastic edits to today's photo!

Here is the original photo:

Isn't this little model just adorable!?!

Here is the photo with my edits:

  • Adjusted fill lighting and highlighting using Picasa
  • Applied Velvia using Picnic.
  • Dodged shadows using Picnic.  I am not that great at this but this cutie patooties face needed something done with the shadows so I tried ;o)
  • Brightened/Lightened eyes using Picnic.
  • Cropped out the light to the right using Picnic.  Considered cropping in on this sweetie's face but those tosies are just 2 cute!
What do you think?  What type of edits would you have made to improve this photograph?

Fix It Friday

Today I'm participating in Fix-it Friday with I heart Faces!  Go check out all the other fantastic edits to today's photo!

Here is the original photo:
The following are my edits.  I had a hard time deciding which one I liked best.  I did not have a hard time editing the picture.  I only used one type of 'fix' if you will, through picnik.com on each photo.

Edit 1: Faded Daguerrotype

Edit 2: Cross Process (I think this one is my favorite after having them all side by side)
Edit 3:  Polychromed Yellow (I've grown to love this 'action' on many photos lately.  I really like the warmth it adds to the photo)
Edit 4: Lomoish  My go to favorite action through picnik.  Though I often tone it down.
Which edit do you like best?
