New Cell-ee ♥

Last week my blackberry pearl flip refused to charge. I got this phone about a year ago. Bought it on ebay because I refused to be tied in to a contract requiring internet service. Got it in black because the other 'colors' were just going for so much more!

I had thought I better just use the 'loaner' my mom was offering me and wait until the hubby's stuff got back from Iraq and get my old blackberry pearl(non flip).

Mine old blackberry pearl is black, not titanium or pearl white. Just plain ole black. I also had purchased it off of ebay a couple of years back. Again, the colors went for oh so much more. So back to why it's MIA right now...the hubby had decided for some reason that he thought he'd be able to use a smartphone during parts of his deployment so I gave him the pearl and got the pearl flip. But now, my only option at a decent phone is stuck in Iraq! So I got my mom's back up phone as a loaner. It was an old nokia. So old I had trouble using the text message function on it! WOW! It took me back to my first cell phone texting experience...and my memory barely goes back to yesterday! LOL! So, as I'm using this loaner I decided to take a gander in the tmobile store this week. And I saw this...

♥ GASP! ♥ My heart skipped a beat. Could it be that there is a Motorola (the last cell I ever loved was a motorola), in Pearl white, that is a smart phone, and slides open like a side kick?!!! WOW... And have I told you how much having a smart phone could help me stay organized and how desperately I need organization?! Have I convinced you yet that I want NEED this phone? Well, it took me just a day or two and I caved. I signed for the ball and chain internet service as well...upgraded the phone and contract. I have NO buyers remorse what so ever! I am still in heaven. And the best part...I wish I'd gone mobile internet years ago! I am loving it. And it's not nearly as bad of a commitment as I had originally thought now that I have it. =) Now it's such a smartphone that I might actually have to read the manual at some point. But so far, I'm lovin' the challenge.

Have a blessed night!

3rd Birthday Party

So anyone who reads my blog at all knows the princess turned three last week! Monday to be exact. Daddy had class that night and even though I took cupcakes to school for her he came home with this...

And ofcourse a balloon. The princess was SUPER excited! But I'm wondering if he is trying to say he really wants a boy OR just wasn't paying attention at all when he picked this balloon...LOL! I think he just wasn't thinking!

Here is a sweet pic of the princess at her school party and one with her best friend.

Ok, for the party. It was a BEAUTIFUL DAY!!! We got to have the party outside...in March...just one week after S-N-O-W!!! So check this out! For the decoration I got one of those helium tanks at walmart and blew up a ton of balloons and put them on each side of the cake table. The princess had gone to a party that only a wad of ballons for the birthday girl recently. One other kid managed to steal a ballon out of that stash so the mother put them away. When the other kids didn't get a balloon but the one kid did...disaster! Several kids (mine included) left crying because they wanted a balloon. So to avoid a fiasco like that we blew them all up, used them for decoration and gave them to the kiddos to take home with them. =)
Found this little princess carriage at a local home store. It was brown wrought iron. I got it home and gave it a quick coat of spray paint and it was ready for my princess and pirate party!

And the Dora princess cake turned out AWESOME! If you live in my area and need a great cake, call me and get my lady's number. This will MELT IN YOUR MOUTH! She was cheaperthan PUBLIX, made this Ah-DORA-ble cake and it tasted better than store bought or bakery cakes we've had! WOW!

For the party bags, sometime when I was wondering around in blogland I ran across these and bookmarked it for later. Forgot to get a picture of the ones I made, but I did the same thing with the cotton candy and sugar cones. My ribbon was white and said "thank you" in multi-color. I also tied up some silly bands with the bow on the outside of the baggie for additional goodies. For entertainment we had one of these:

And also a treasure dig! I packed these with garndening tools from the $ tree and filled them with sand, necklaces, rings, pirate patches and candy...The kids loved this!

And we had adults AS entertainment as well! Yes, that is my hubby and bff...and I know how to pick 'em! ;-)

Between the bouncy, the treasure dig, and the playground the kids had lots of fun things to choose from! We had several friends come out to celebrate with us. Here are a few pics of guests. We had so many it was hard to get pics of everyone!

And my faithful girls who are always there for me...

The family...it is rare we get a chance for all of us to get in a pic. And when we do, we are never all looking, but I love the charm of it anyway!

And the lovely Princess on her birthday!

And her sister...who was great all day!

And the birthday princess with her daddy.
We were all worn out by the end of the day and needed a NAP!!!! Ha, ha!
Hope you have a blessed day!

Flashback Friday!

Ever notice how lots of radio stations like to have a Flashback Friday? I am always lovin' it when I hear my fav 80's music. =) So here's my flashback friday post! Check it...
With the hubby on our first Veteran's Day together.

Me and the bff...

The sweetest puppy that my girls never got to know...Athena. She is a great memory of sweetness!

Spring Fever!!

I don't know about all of you but I have had spring fever bad! Even with all the snow North Alabama has gotten we have had some sunny days sprinkled in between. Just enough to make me LONG for warmer weather. So what has it done to me? I have been a SHOP-A-HOLIC! I've been hitting up target, old navy, and costco for some cute reasonable clothes for the girls. Check it! I got this shirt/dress at Target

Got these leggings in light pink, dark pink, and YELLOW to go under the cutsie dresses I've found
Got this cute tank at Old Navy. Also got a dress that looks like this print only the base color is Aqua..it's already off the website.
And shoes...Loving these for my Princess...the boo has TONS of sandals being passed down in great shape. I also have several that I bought last year at the end of season for the princess so we really didn't HAVE to have many sandals. I just loved these though!
Got this cute little shirt for transition weather. It came from Target. I also got a VERY similar shirt in lilac with mild white butterflies printed on it from Old Navy (also already gone on the website).

Now to Costco...They have had some AMAZING stuff there. They are carrying Baby Lulu and Hanna Andersson!!! And they are SO reasonable! The hubster got a couple of Hanna Andersson sundresses and these Baby Lulu for the girls...
Gigi got this BabyLulu for the princess (if you read my latter posts then you saw her wearing it when we were out on a snow day...LOL. She had to wear it because she liked the twirly skirt!)

Check out the detail on this little shirt...I love it!
My MIL got the princess clothes for her bday from Kohls. Some super cute shorts and shirts and a denim jumper. I think we are SET! Ha, ha!
And for momma...it's just shoes right now. I am still claiming I am going to diet so no clothes for me until I lose some weight!!!! But I'm loving metallic in shoes. Both of these came from target. These are WAY cuter ON!

And these are TOO comfy...and at the same time cute! (Although my hubby does NOT like them) Ha! All my girlfriends do though! Ah, this post is making me want to jump in the minivan and head to FLORIDA!!! Hey babe, if you are reading this, how about a vaca to disney?! =) A girl can dream right?!

The Georgia Aquarium

A little over a week back the hubby sprung the idea of an impromptu trip to the Georgia Aquarium. I am SUCH a planner but I was ecstatic because I love aquariums! I have been wanting to go to the Georgia Aquarium since it opened but something always comes up. My room mate from college lives nearby so I sent her an email seeing if she and her family could meet us there. They were so gracious they asked us to stay with them on our trip. Tim and I both enjoyed the visit. Tim and her hubby stayed up FOREVER playing video games, so it was like heaven for Tim on this trip. LOL! And I of course just enjoyed visiting with a great friend.

We left after work on Friday. By the time we got there it was midnight so we decided to wait until after the Boo's morning nap to actually go in hopes that the day would run more smoothly. She was a little fussy at first and then....

The Princess and this sweetie pie are fairly close in age. They haven't hung out since they were 1, but they were fast friends...they didn't miss a beat! Check out this fun pic I got!

The Princess is still enjoying having her daddy back from Iraq and ofcourse he is loving being able to spend time with his girls. It is evident daily in the smallest of gestures like this one...

Ofcourse the Boo did wake up eventually to enjoy the last half of the aquarium.

I got a few shots that I really thought turned out well. I am still learning alot about 'photography' so when I get something like these I get excited:

At the end of the day there were two little girls still full of energy. Oh and I think this was more fun for them than inside! LOL!

So my friend also has a nikon camera. I mentioned not being able to get a good shot of the girls because they were moving before I could get focused. She said hers would autofocus. Got me thinking, maybe I should read my manual when I got home. Tonight I found the setting that I had set up for MANUAL focus! LOL! So here's to no more blurry pics of kiddos! =) Wish me luck, I have a birthday party this weekend that will test me on that promise!

Hope you all have a blessed night,
